1 Ingo Is here today because of his grandfather Walter who escaped 7 Russian prison camps
In the book titled the 7th Escape, by Jan Doward, Walter Loge' overcame incredible odds to journey back to Berlin, find his family, and then eventually bring them to the United States. It was March 17th, St. Patrick's Day when they landed in New York.... "I did not know the impact of his life on mine, until I read the book myself. Thank you Opa for your courage to survive the worst odds anyone could imagine, yours was a life I greatly respect and miss. See you at the party!"

7 While he is a accomplished speaker Ingo does get very nervous before, during and after he speaks he really does not like the nervous feeling of....speaking
"I never though of my self as a very good communicator/speaker, and when I do speak I wonder if I have made an impact on the lives of my audience. In contrast, I really do love listening to other speakers, they always motivate and inspire me, how do they get up there and look so calm and so confident?" People who can discipline themselves to do what they don't like to do live a wholly different type of life than those that don't."
8 Ingo grew up A bit differently
than most boys...
Rancho San Antonio is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization accredited by the National Council on Accreditation for Services to Families and Youth. Rancho is a multi-service residential agency serving court-ordered adolescent boys. The primary goal of the agency is to utilize an inter-disciplinary approach to provide opportunity for rehabilitation of the total person through a balanced physical, social, spiritual, psychological, and educational experience.
Perhaps the darkest time in his life, was Ingo's teenage years. Lonely and searching for identity Ingo arrived in 1976 at Rancho San Antonio (Boys Town of the West) in Chatsworth, Ca. Where he found guidance, friends and a chance to deal with his brokenness, heal and grow up.....He attended El Camino Real high school In Woodland Hills,Ca. where he excelled at studies, football, "Thank you Brother John and staff for saving my life. it is great to come and visit and still see some of the counselors 35 years later still passionate at helping to improve the boys lives"
6 Ingo almost wore a superbowl ring in 1985 (The notable players for the 49ers included QB Joe Montana, RB Wendell Tyler, WR Dwight Clark, K Ray Wersching, OL Randy Cross, DB Ronnie Lott, DB Eric Wright and DL Fred Dean.)
"I was so close to being a San Francisco 49er at one point in my life... in college at Nevada Las Vegas, I was second in the nation as a punter, and was Randall Cunningham ( who later played for the Vikings and Eagles) wide receiver as a Junior. My dream, like many young men, was to be a professional football player., and.by chance a coach (Bill McPherson) new of me from high school where he came to games when his daughter Joanne was a cheerleader;.
Bill had recruited me to go to UCLA when he was a coach there... well, many years later I won't bore you with all the details but one day....I found out he was the linebacker coach for the 49ers
I sent him some of my game films from UNLV to and, got the call of a life time! A chance to come to 49er camp and try out.. A week before the tryouts I was living in Santa Cruz at the time and was helping a friend working on repairing a roof. Well I pulled my back out pretty bad and it wasn't healed and subsequently had the worst tryout in history... most humbling 20 minutes of my life ever! Needless to say., my life changed forever as I went into studying sports medicine to try and investigate (CSI) my body and how to heal and recover from the damage I had imparted on it from poor lifestyle and fitness choices...the rest is history,
5 Summer is Ingo's favorite time of the year
" I love summer... the memories of riding bikes with my grandmother and working in her garden and eating home cooked Oma Food... to working out with Jack La Lane on TV with her she had a profound influence on my life every summer I visited her. She is greatly missed."
"I also love trips to Cancun in July, the raw beauty, of a turquoise sea, unlimited exercise, sea dooing and sun., oh, and no alarm clock! " I also love summer at the dog beach here in Del Mar,.. Why ? to see Molly the best lab ever, play, bark, roll in the sand, jump in the waves, and socialize with other dogs. That really brings a smile to my face.....one more thing, I have a stuffed animal collection of MOOSE...go figure."
4 Ingo Loves riding wave runners!
I don;t and have never owned one, but when I get near Lake Mead outside Las Vegas or any body of water for that matter.... I make a beeline for the marina, rent the machine and go for a two hour freedom ride. The smile that puts on my face is indescribable! I just love it... don't know what it is about that but when I do I will try and tell you...... must be a water, sun...I am in control thing?
3 "I loved my birthdays when I was young"
I could invite 4 friends to go to Disneyland for FREE on my birthday every year" How you may ask? Well, my mom worked for Retlaw, that is Walter spelled backwards... as in Walt Disney. She worked for the family for 30 years. It was great fun to see movies before they came out, go to parties, concerts at the Hollywood bowl,, symphonies, baseball games anything they had season tickets to was fair game when they did not use the tickets my mom got them! Thank you mom... you survived horrific times during the war, made a life for us and you are an inspiration to me to this day,"
9 Hockey is my favorite spectator sport
I so love the game, never played it, cant skate for beans, I am like a new born giraffe when you see me skate... but I understand from my mom that the dad I have still yet to meet loved hockey. Guess things do get passed on in the DNA.... thanks dad I always think of you when I watch a hockey game and wonder if you will ever get out of your own penalty box and say I am sorry to my mom for abandoning her and to me for not introducing me to my 10 half borhters and sisters. Any one who knows a James A. Ivy Jr. let him know he missed out on a hell of a son!

10 In a coma for 18 months, I was able to help Daniel Lee walk again and get his body and his life back
"I remember Julie And Don Weir the owners of Reno Dodge asking me if I could help this young man if they payed for his sessions." many memebers had observed his inability to walk or move well and yet he came to the gym via bus 3X per week all in an attmept to try and learn, how to walk, talk and interact with life again. YOu may have guessed by now that I said yes to the Wiers' offer and the journey began.
Daniel Lee had no movement on his left side, a leg that dragged behind him and no motor control of his arms or fingers. His speech was very broken and slurred, He was Nevada's worst head trauma case to date and was lucky to be awake and alive after 18 months of being in his coma.... I look back at this time with great joy..... .. I can still remember all my clients pitching in to buy him a motorized scooter, that was a great day in all our lives,.he was mobile,
and no linger had to depend on the bus form the assisted living care facility he lived at.... Daniel Lee is a wonderful young man I wish you could meet and know him... Thank you Daniel for touching my life Your smile, tenacity and discipline inspires me to this day
Daniel, me and Tim Lee his brother and the gracious Julie Wier who donated the money for me to work with Dan & below is my clients who all pitched in money to buy Danny the scooteras a suprise
2 Ingo sang for 60.000 people more than once...
From 1993 -1998 Ingo was involved in a movement known as Promise Keepers where he shared his new passion for music by singing and speaking at local and stadium events, In 1996 He brought actor Gary Busey to an event at the LA Colosseum that landed them both on the channel 2 news at 11 that night. The event of PK would forever change Gary's life... " I so remember growing up very prejudice and very dogmatic about religion.. the PK events themselves had a profound influence on my life, there is not enough room here for all the stories, but WOW what a journey it has been! .Coach Bill McCartney Thank you for following your passion so I could find mine." I spent many years serving with my voice and my guitar,. those of you who know me are witness to that fact and I thank you for always being there to play and serve when I needed you."
